Gil Rosen, GP

Gil Rosen, GP of xBuilders, is also Co-lead of the Stanford Blockchain Accelerator, co-teacher of MS&E447 Blockchain Entrepreneurship, and co-lead of the BASS event series.

Prior to angel investing across AI, fintech, and blockchain (50+ ventures), Gil founded Eccella, which won Forbes top 50 places to work and his team of 100 across New York City, London, and Mumbai, built big data infrastructure for the IRS, Veteran Affairs, Franklin Templeton, JPMorgan, BP, and VW among others, before exiting to NGDATA, an AI customer engagement platform where he ran Strategy and Sales.

A double Stanford graduate, Gil was both a Sloan Fellow in Stanford GSB’s MSx program in 2016, and completed his Master in Public Policy in 2022.


Kun Peng, GP

Kun Peng, GP of xBuilders, is also the founder of the Stanford Blockchain Accelerator, which he launched to build community for crypto native founders at Stanford.

Kun helped revive the Stanford Blockchain Club in 2021, spearheaded the MS&E447 Blockchain Entrepreneurship course, and is the architect behind the BASS event series. A Co-Founder and former VP of Product at Convex Labs, Kun completed his master’s degree in Management Science & Engineering at Stanford. Kun previously worked on enterprise information systems at Forbes 100 United Technologies.

Kun was born in China and raised in Argentina and is an accomplished polyglot speaking Spanish, English, and Mandarin, with fluency in Italian and French. He is knowledgeable and well-connected in both the Latin American and Asian crypto ecosystems.


Steven Willinger, GP

Steven Willinger, GP of xBuilders, is also a co-lead of the Stanford Blockchain Accelerator, co-teacher of MS&E447 Blockchain Entrepreneurship, and the BASS event series.

Prior to joining, Steven led investments at Coinbase Ventures where he gained deep exposure into all aspects of the crypto ecosystem and supported hundreds of founders.

Steven was also an investor at Capital One Ventures where he was an early investor in Snowflake. Prior, he worked on product and partnerships over 7 years at Google including Google Maps, Cloud, and Glass.

He received his MBA from Stanford GSB in 2017, where he also founded the GSB Crypto Trading club.


Our Team

Eric Peter, Venture Partner and AI Specialist, brings deep product leadership experience across the AI and data infrastructure landscape.

Eric most recently served as PM at Google's Gemini Agent Platform and Databricks Mosaic AI, where he launched the Agent Platform and led development of GenAI tools and infrastructure. Prior to that, he drove AI Search and Recommendation initiatives at Google Cloud.

As a founder and investor, Eric built Novus, a funded MLOps startup, and has served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Unusual Ventures. He is also a veteran TA for Steve Blank's Lean Launchpad program at Stanford GSB, where he earned his MBA in 2017.

Jason Scott, Accelerator Operations, is a veteran startup ecosystem builder with an MBA from Stanford GSB ('16) and a BS from MIT ('10).

Jason led Google for Startups programming on a global scale, overseeing accelerators, hackathons, and developer relations events worldwide. He also founded Five Two Five, an accelerator programming firm whose clients include Google, OpenAI, and Techstars.

On the investment side, Jason has served as a Scout at Lightspeed and worked with Highland Capital Partners, bringing a sharp eye for early-stage opportunity alongside his operational expertise.

Jason Bonayer, Venture Partner and Veteran Dealmaker, has been at the forefront of blockchain investing and company building since 2013.

Jason founded Carbyne Capital in 2016, one of the largest private crypto-mining operations in the US with over $70MM AUM, and co-founded a Swiss Blockchain VC fund whose $20MM AUM delivered a 7.5x MOIC. He also founded Communisea, a global think tank comprised of blockchain thought leaders, and has served as Director at Bitcoin.com.

On the investment side, Jason is a partner at Starlight Real Estate Advisors, where he works to incorporate blockchain technologies into real estate transactions.

Hannah Gilulah, Fund Operations, combines a Stanford BA/MA with extensive experience across venture, tech, and international contexts.

On the fund side, Hannah has worked in operations at Golden Seeds Ventures, and has held program and project management roles at Salesforce and VigLink.

Hannah was a Fulbright Scholar based in Rio de Janeiro, and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese — bringing a unique and talented global perspective to her operational work.
